Have you got the same problem with this user? “OK, so I have an iPhone 5S, iPad mini, and MacBook Pro. I want to sync my contacts across all three devices so that all contact info, nicknames, address, etc is the same. The info on my phone is what I want to sync my other devices to. What’s the best way to accomplish this?”
Obviously, this user want to sync contacts across different iOS devices like his iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro. Of course, it is possible to help this user sync contacts across his three iOS devices. Here, I have two different methods to introduce.
It is the simplest method to sync contacts to different iOS devices from iCloud. But what you need to have is an iCloud account. If you don’t have, just create one.
Then, go to Settings > iCloud > Slide the “Contacts” toggle switch to “On.” (You can also enable syncing for additional features, such as Find My Phone, Calendar, Mail, Reminders, Bookmarks and Notes from this screen. )
After that, just repeat these steps on each iOS devices you want to sync. Once all devices are configured, iCloud is enabled to sync your contacts across all of your your iOS devices.
Note: All iOS devices must use the same Apple ID for the iCloud account.
- To disable the iCloud account on a device, tap “Settings,” then tap “iCloud.” Scroll to the bottom of the iCloud settings panel and tap “Delete Account.”
Sync contacts across different iOS devices from iTunes backup
Another method to sync contacts to different iOS devices is from iTunes backup. With iTunes backup, firstly what you need to do is to have a fullscale of your iPhone 5S contacts. However, after the backup, you have a problem: you cannot transfer the synced contacts to other iOS devices like iPad and MacBook Pro. Here, try this way. iFonebox can help you solve this problem. Now iFonebox supports to extract iTunes backup files and transfer the backed up contacts to your iOS devices directly. Quite convenient.
To sync contacts across different iOS devices, you can try the above mentioned methods. iCloud is much easier compared with the iTunes one. But the iTunes method is much more secure.
