iOS 11 should be good but after installing it, but it seems that many iOS users find everything become very slow and actually disappointing with its performance. I had this experience too. Screen rotation is constantly getting stuck. Sending screen shots take forever when waiting for text app to open. Opening safari pages are not smooth at all. So I am going to share you some tips on how to solve iPhone responds very slowly problem after updating to iOS 11.

  • Try a hard restart

According to apple’s official explanation, an update can make your phone temporarily slow while it does some updates in the background. • Examine any apps that seem to have an unusually high usage

Go to settings > battery and scroll down

  • Clear memory space

Go to settings< general< storage and iCloud usage< manage storage, here you will be able to see what all is using storage on your phone. Then you can choose to delete anything that is taking up mass amounts of storage

  • Restore your device to factory settings

Back up your iPhone using iFonebox and make sure that find my iPhone is off then

Note: iFonebox is a professional backup/ recovery tool that is designed to help you selectively restore/ back up data as opposed to backing the entire phone up. It’s very easy to use and totally safe

  • Close the other apps running in the background

When you double click the home button, your recently used apps appear. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close. Swipe up on the app’s preview to close the app.

  • Update your apps

It is best to update all apps with a major change from one version like ios 10 to another like iOS 11. Because many app developers may make lots of changes to optimize apps with a version change

  • Keep your eyes on the new version of iOS

iOS 11 has code to extend the life of your battery, and tries to avoid sudden shutdown issues, buy running the CPU and GPU at slower speeds to reduce power consumption. Apple claimed that they will issue an iOS software update with new features that give users more visibility into the health of their iPhone’s battery, so users can see for themselves if its condition is affecting performance.

If you’ve tried everything that I mentioned but nothing makes your phone better and the issue keeps arising, you’d better to make an appointment at the genius bar at your local apple store. Apple is reducing the price of an out-of-warranty iPhone battery replacement by $50 — from $79 to $29 — for anyone with an iPhone 6 or later whose battery needs to be replaced, available worldwide through December 2018.
