Finally, Apple released its official version for iOS 8.4 to the public, which is the fourth maybe the last update to iOS 8. Since the first update of iOS 8.4 was released, one of the new features of Apple Music have been unveiled. Now, let’s have a look at those improvements and bug fixes in the new released iOS 8.4.
iOS 8.4 is available now as an over-the-air download and the new Apple Music service is located with the Music App. Apple Music will be available immediately after iOS 8.4 install, while the Beats 1 radio service will kick off at 9 am, Pacific time.
Firstly, let’s look at the Apple Music. Apple Music is accompanied by the Beats 1 radio station, which features 24 hour live human curated music at no cost, and Apple Music Connect, a social networking platform that allows artists to interact with fans and share content like photos and videos. Apple Music includes millions of songs from iTunes and is launching simultaneously in more than 100 countries. The Spotify-esque on-demand streaming atation comes with a three-month trial, and when that ends, it will cost $9.99 a month for individuals or $14.99 for a family of up to six listeners.
Also included in iOS 8.4 are improvements to iBooks, which can now be used for audiobooks. “Made for iBooks” books now work on the iPhone, too. Other improvements include a setting to turn off the auto-night theme, the ability to pre-order books in a series, and various bug fixes.
Finally, iOS 8.4 fixes another problem that “prevented GPS accessories from providing location data,” and “fixes an issue where deleted Apple Watch apps could re-install.”
